What ModelBuddies is

ModelBuddies publishes investment strategy models and the allocations they produce, and offers optional software that can act on those allocations in your own brokerage account. It is general information and software. It is not investment, tax or legal advice, it is not personalized to you, and ModelBuddies is not a registered investment adviser or broker-dealer. You decide whether and how to use anything you see here, and you place or authorize every trade yourself.

Risk

All investing involves risk, including loss of principal. Performance shown on this site is hypothetical and backtested, was developed with the benefit of hindsight, does not represent actual trading, and does not guarantee future results. Some strategies use leveraged ETFs, which amplify both gains and losses and can lose most of their value quickly. You are responsible for deciding whether a strategy is suitable for you. Consider speaking with a licensed professional.

Your account

You must be at least 18 and provide accurate information. Keep your password and any API keys private; you are responsible for activity under your account. Subscriptions are for your own use. Do not share, resell or republish allocations, reports or API access without our written permission.

Subscriptions, renewals and cancellation

Paid plans renew automatically, monthly or yearly as shown at checkout, at the price shown, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. A canceled plan stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. Monthly plans are not refunded. The Tactical Asset Allocation annual plan carries the 60-day money-back guarantee described on the guarantee page, which also covers the founding-member offer. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your card number.

Acceptable use

Do not misuse the service: no attempts to break or overload it, scrape it at scale, access other users' data, or use it for anything unlawful.

Software and brokerage connections

If you use optional client software to connect a brokerage account, you authorize it to act as you configure it. Brokerage connections, market data and third-party services can fail, lag or change without notice, and orders may not execute as intended. Monitor your accounts. We are not responsible for brokerage outages, rejected or partially filled orders, taxes, or fees charged by your broker.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise uninterrupted service or that any strategy will be profitable.

Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, ModelBuddies and its owner are not liable for investment losses, lost profits or indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

Changes and termination

We may change these terms, the service or prices; material changes to what you have already paid for will not apply until your next renewal, and we will tell you by email or on the site. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms. You may stop using the service at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
